About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Senior Frontend Engineer to help build and evolve our cross-platform desktop applications. This role goes far beyond traditional frontend development. In addition to building high-quality user interfaces, you will work deeply with Electron, desktop application architecture, networking, observability, and system integration to deliver reliable, high-performance desktop experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong frontend expertise with solid engineering fundamentals, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes ownership of end-to-end delivery, and consistently delivers production-ready solutions. What You’ll Do Desktop Application Engineering Design, develop, and maintain core modules of our cross-platform desktop application built with ElectronBuild reliable, high-performance desktop experiences with a strong focus on stability, maintainability, and user experienceDesign and evolve application architecture to support long-term scalability and product growth Networking & System Integration Design, optimize, and maintain the application’s networking pipeline for reliability and performanceImplement advanced network request interception, modification, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms within ElectronCollaborate with third-party partners to define API contracts, data formats, authentication flows, and error-handling strategiesTroubleshoot complex networking and integration issues across different operating systems and environments Engineering Excellence Build and improve logging, monitoring, and observability capabilities for desktop applicationsInvestigate and resolve production issues such as crashes, white screens, slow startup, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecksDesign resilience and graceful degradation strategies to improve application reliabilityParticipate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design decisionsContinuously improve engineering quality, maintainability, testing, and development efficiency AI-Driven Development Explore and adopt AI-powered development tools and workflows across the engineering lifecycleImprove productivity through AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and performance analysisContribute to establishing modern AI-enabled engineering best practices within the team What We’re Looking For Core Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in frontend software development3+ years of experience designing and building frontend architectures for complex applicationsStrong expertise in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or VueSolid understanding of Electron architecture, including the main process, renderer process, IPC communication, and desktop application lifecycleHands-on experience implementing network request interception, modification, logging, and debugging within Electron applicationsStrong understanding of networking concepts, including HTTP, WebSocket, proxies, authentication, and browser networkingExcellent debugging and troubleshooting skills across browser, Electron, and operating system layersProven experience designing and building high-performance frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, or foundational engineering toolsStrong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on clean architecture, maintainable code, and long-term scalabilityStrong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive complex technical initiatives from design through productionPassion for leveraging AI-powered tools and workflows to improve development speed, software quality, and engineering productivityStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and distributed teams Nice to Have Experience developing browser extensions or Chromium-based applicationsExperience establishing engineering standards, technical documentation, or frontend best practicesExperience with Node.js and modern backend frameworksFamiliarity with desktop application security, operating system internals, or low-level system integrationExperience working in international or distributed engineering teamsExperience in high-growth startups or product-focused engineering organizations WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU Competitive salary: Attractive compensation and relocation package commensurate with experience and skills.
