How Our AI Works
Our Commitment to Transparency
At DontApply.Club, we believe in being open about how our AI works. This page explains what our AI does, how it processes your data, and what you can expect from it.
1. Two Ways We Use AI
Our platform uses AI in two distinct ways:
A. Match Scoring (Automated)
We use AI to calculate match scores for jobs against your profile. This happens automatically behind the scenes using API calls to AI models. The score shows how well a job fits your skills, experience, and preferences.
B. Prompt Generation (You Control)
We generate AI-powered prompts for you to use with your own AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.). We never tailor your resume directly — we provide you with carefully crafted prompts so you can use them with your preferred AI tool. You review, edit, and decide what to do with the output.
2. What Our AI Does
Our AI is designed to help you make smarter career decisions:
- Match Scores: A percentage showing how well a job fits your profile (calculated automatically via API)
- AI Prompts: Carefully crafted prompts for resume tailoring, cover letters, interview prep, and more — you use them with your own AI assistant
- Skill Gap Analysis: Identification of skills you may need to develop
- Market Insights: Trends and demand for skills in your field
3. How Match Scoring Works
When you view a job, our system:
- Analyzes your profile (skills, experience, preferences, resume)
- Analyzes the job posting (requirements, nice-to-have skills, title, country, remote policy, visa history)
- Uses AI (via secure API calls) to calculate a match score based on multiple factors
- Displays the score to help you decide if the job is a good fit
4. How Prompt Generation Works
When you request a prompt (e.g., "Tailor Resume"):
- Our system collects relevant context: your profile, the job details, and your uploaded resume
- We generate a structured prompt designed to get the best output from your AI assistant
- We give you the prompt — you copy it and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
- You review the AI's output and decide how to use it
We never modify your resume or apply to jobs on your behalf. You are always in control.
5. What Data We Use
Our AI uses the following data:
- Your Profile: Skills, experience, education, preferences, and uploaded resumes
- Job Postings: Publicly available job data (skills, requirements, company info, location)
- Usage Data: Jobs you view and save (anonymized for improvement)
We do not use your personal data to train AI models. All AI processing is done within our secure infrastructure.
6. AI Models We Use
We use a combination of AI models to power our platform:
- OpenRouter: A secure gateway to leading AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) — used for match scoring and prompt generation
- Our Own Algorithms: Custom algorithms for skill extraction and profile analysis
We never share your content with third-party AI providers without your explicit consent. You retain full ownership of all data you upload.
7. Why We Give You Prompts Instead of Doing It Ourselves
We believe in empowerment, not replacement:
- You use your own AI subscription (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) — we don't cap your usage or charge per generation
- You decide which AI model to use and how to interpret the results
- You review and edit everything before using it — no one knows your experience better than you
- We never apply to jobs on your behalf
8. Limitations of AI
While our AI is powerful, it has limitations:
- No Job Guarantee: AI helps you make better decisions but cannot guarantee employment or sponsorship outcomes.
- Information Accuracy: AI outputs are based on publicly available data and may contain errors or omissions. You should always review and verify AI-generated content.
- Hallucinations: Like all AI systems, our models may occasionally produce incorrect or irrelevant information. We have quality control systems in place to detect and prevent this, but we encourage you to use your own judgment.
9. Quality Control
We continuously monitor and improve our AI outputs:
- Automated validation checks on every AI output
- Manual review of flagged outputs
- Regular revalidation of AI responses
- User feedback to improve accuracy
10. Future Developments
We're committed to improving our AI while maintaining transparency. As we develop new features, we'll update this page to reflect how they work.
