Cloud Engineer/Security Architect Consultant, Columbia, SC | Hybrid
Schedule: Only 3 days per month onsite
Must currently reside in South Carolina (No relocation)No C2CNo Visa TransfersMust successfully complete background screening, credit check, and obtain CJIS certification
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer/Security Architect to help drive enterprise AWS and Azure strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to help modernize and secure statewide cloud infrastructure while working on large-scale cloud migrations and governance initiatives.

Design, deploy, and manage enterprise AWS & Azure cloud environmentsSupport statewide cloud migration initiativesBuild Infrastructure as Code using TerraformDevelop cloud architecture standards and governanceAutomate cloud operations and improve platform reliabilityWork closely with agencies adopting shared cloud servicesMentor technical teams and provide architectural leadership
Required Experience
10+ years in Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture8+ years of Technical Architecture experience5–7 years of AWS (IAM, Organizations, Networking, Cost Management)3–5 years of Azure (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking)Bachelor's Degree requiredEnterprise Cloud Architecture & Governance experienceExperience with Terraform/Infrastructure as CodeCloud migrations and platform operations expertisePublic cloud infrastructure expertise
Preferred
AWS and/or Azure certificationsKubernetes or Docker experienceDevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Engineering backgroundExperience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, Aviatrix, CI/CD, security, and cloud automation

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $190,000.
