Software Engineer

Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, a distributor of IT and telecommunications products and solutions, to cover the following position: Software Engineer Job Description Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Python and Django.Support the implementation of business logic and new application features.Assist in integrating internal and third-party systems.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in development and production environments.Support database maintenance and optimize SQL queries when required.Collaborate with senior engineers on system improvements and technical implementations.Participate in code reviews and testing activities.Work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements.Contribute to improving system performance, reliability, and scalability. Candidate Profile 1–2 years of professional experience in software development.Good knowledge of Python and the Django framework.Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend application development.Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL Server.Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.Understanding of database design principles and data integrity.Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) or virtualized environments is considered an advantage.Basic understanding of Docker and/or Kubernetes is a plus.Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Django Templates.Familiarity with WordPress and Elementor is considered an advantage but is not required.
