About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Freelance Cloud Infrastructure Architect to support the design and delivery of modern, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for a leading enterprise based in Brussels. Working closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams, you will play a key role in defining cloud architecture, driving infrastructure transformation, and ensuring best practices across hybrid environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance architect who enjoys working on enterprise-scale cloud initiatives and collaborating with multiple technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Design scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures.Translate business and technical requirements into robust infrastructure solutions.Define infrastructure standards, governance, and architectural best practices.Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.Design highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructure platforms.Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and solution architects.Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles.Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.Support architecture reviews and technical decision-making. Required Skills: Strong experience in cloud infrastructure architecture (Azure preferred, AWS is a plus).Experience designing hybrid cloud environments and enterprise infrastructure solutions.Knowledge of virtualization, networking, security, and identity management.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and modern DevOps practices.Strong understanding of cloud security and architecture best practices.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
