To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Engineering Director - EMEA located in one of our location in EMEA region (UK, Poland or Ireland).
Reporting to the Senior Director – Global Engineering, the Engineering Director - EMEA role involves providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership across regional engineering teams.
The role focuses on developing and executing the EMEA Engineering strategy, ensuring strong delivery performance, and driving alignment with global engineering objectives while supporting the design and delivery of engineered-to-order electrical and mechanical solutions for mission-critical environments.
What a typical day looks like:
Developing and executing the EMEA Engineering strategy aligned with global objectives and business growth plansLeading multiple Design & Engineering teams across the region through Heads of EngineeringOverseeing the delivery of complex ETO solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standardsDriving KPI-based performance management, reporting progress, risks, and improvements to global leadershipEstablishing and embedding daily management systems to ensure execution discipline and accountabilityLeading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean engineering principlesCollaborating closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure manufacturable and compliant solutionsLeading design reviews, programme governance, and technical decision-making across the regionBuilding engineering capability through coaching, leadership development, and workforce planning
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Strong expertise in BIM, electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally within the critical power or similar industryProven experience in leading multi-site, multidisciplinary engineering organisationsSolid understanding of engineered-to-order (ETO) environments and manufacturing-led designExperience in implementing KPI-driven performance management and governance modelsKnowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies applied within engineeringAbility to manage complex technical challenges and make data-driven decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadershipDemonstrated leadership capability in coaching and developing senior engineering teamsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s or MBA is a plusTypically 8+ years of leadership experience in engineering environments
