DevOps Engineering Manager (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to join a global biotechnology organization undergoing significant technology transformation. This is a leadership-focused role for someone who combines strong people management skills with a solid DevOps and cloud engineering background. You will lead and develop globally distributed teams across Poland, India, and the United States, driving DevOps excellence, platform reliability, and engineering effectiveness. We are seeking a leader who is not afraid to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and proactively propose solutions that create business value. The ideal candidate understands how modern DevOps organizations operate and brings experience working with complex enterprise ecosystems, preferably including ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce. Your tasks Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing global DevOps and Release Engineering teamsFoster an automation-first culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellenceOwn delivery outcomes, platform stability, release processes, and team performanceEstablish and govern enterprise DevOps and Release Management practices across internally managed and vendor-supported platformsDrive modernization initiatives involving cloud-native architectures, containerization, microservices, GitOps, and CI/CD automationEnsure platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence through monitoring, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiativesDefine and monitor key performance indicators for deployment success, release quality, platform availability, and engineering productivityCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and guide strategic technology decisionsEnsure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory requirements, including SOX and GxP environmentsEvaluate, select, and manage DevOps tools, platforms, and emerging technologies Requirements At least 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, including a minimum of 3 years of proven experience leading global engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zonesStrong leadership mindset with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive accountabilityPrevious hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Release EngineeringPrevious work with enterprise platforms and ERP ecosystems such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, or similar business-critical systemsStrong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure)Expertise in DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, and observabilityExperience working within Agile delivery models and large-scale enterprise organizationsAbility to manage vendor relationships and offshore delivery teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFluent English (written and spoken) Nice to have Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industriesKnowledge of GxP, SOX, or other compliance frameworksPrevious work with Kubernetes, container platforms, GitOps, and cloud-native architecturesRelevant cloud, DevOps, or engineering leadership certifications Job no.
