Senior Cloud Data Engineer (GCP)

We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Engineer to help develop and scale our cloud-native data platform. Work model: Fully remote during the probation period.After successfully completing the probation period, relocation to Wiesbaden, Germany, is expected for long-term on-site employment.The company fully covers relocation costs. The primary focus of this position is building SQL models, developing ELT pipelines, and designing data models in BigQuery. Python, Dagster, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform are used to build integrations, automate workflows, and manage the cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a Data Engineer whose core expertise is SQL, BigQuery, data modelling, and ELT, while also having strong hands-on experience with Python and Google Cloud Platform. There are no unnecessary management layers or product manager buffers between engineering and the business. You will work directly with business stakeholders, participate in defining requirements, and see the direct impact of your work. You will help build a centralized Master Data platform that consolidates data from approximately 20 suppliers and more than 60,000 products. All data is automatically validated by comparing the output with the existing legacy system before any changes are deployed to production. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning an entire system—from data models and integrations to cloud infrastructure and ELT pipelines. If you prefer a narrowly defined area of responsibility, this position is unlikely to match your expectations.
