Position Description: The UI / UX Developer plays an integral role in designing, developing, and improving user interfaces across ClearHello’s digital products. This position collaborates closely with the Development, Product, and Marketing teams to create intuitive, visually appealing, and functional user experiences that align with customer needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate combines front-end development skills with user-centered design principles to translate concepts, prototypes, and design systems into responsive, accessible, and production-ready interfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of UI best practices, attention to detail, and the ability to balance creative design thinking with technical implementation. Success in this role is demonstrated through active contribution to the SaaS product development lifecycle, ownership of UI/UX improvements, and the ability to learn, apply, and champion ClearHello’s design standards, style guide, and user experience principles. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to create intuitive, visually engaging user experiences for web and desktop applications, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. · Translate approved design concepts into production-ready front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while ensuring responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. · Conduct user research, usability testing, and interface evaluations to identify opportunities for improving user experience, accessibility, and overall product effectiveness. · Analyze existing user interfaces and workflows to identify usability issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement. · Design, build, document, and maintain scalable design systems, including reusable components, design tokens, style guides, interaction patterns, and UI standards to ensure consistency across products and brands. · Develop and maintain AI-ready design assets, structured documentation, and component libraries that enable AI-assisted design and development workflows while maintaining brand consistency and design quality. · Partner with developers throughout implementation to ensure designs are accurately translated into functional user interfaces and provide design support during development. · Perform limited quality assurance testing to verify that interface updates function correctly and maintain a high standard of visual presentation across browsers, devices, and operating systems. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. · Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. · Provide regular project updates and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and leadership regarding progress, risks, and recommendations. · Stay current on UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product design and user experience. · Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership. Required Skills and Experience: Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS, including responsive design principles and the ability to directly edit and manipulate code to achieve UI/UX objectives without relying solely on visual design tools.Strong understanding of layout, typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, consistency, and modern user interface design principles.Experience using browser developer tools, including inspecting elements, troubleshooting issues, and making live HTML/CSS adjustments.Experience working within an integrated development environment (IDE), such as VS Code, WebStorm, or similar tools.Basic experience with modern web frameworks or technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, PHP, or similar platforms.Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git), design and prototyping tools (such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar), and front-end development workflows.Working knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript is preferred.Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, and business teams.Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into intuitive user experiences.Core Competencies: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to independently drive projects forward.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to creating high-quality, polished user experiences.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing requirements.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze challenges and recommend practical solutions.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with UI/UX technologies and industry practices. Pay Range: The expected annual salary range for this full-time exempt position is $100,000 to $126,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Location: ClearHello is based in Escondido, CA. This is considered a hybrid position with a combination of both required in office days and some remote work days.
