Position: Cloud Engineer Location: La Spezia, Italy (on-site) Key Responsibilities Evaluate current IT infrastructure and identify cloud migration opportunities.Support the planning, design, development, and deployment of cloud‑based solutions.Assist in migrating applications, services, and data to cloud environments.Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure aligned with security policies and best practices.Support deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation throughout the development lifecycle.Develop and promote cloud engineering standards and best practices.Design, build, and maintain cloud‑based applications and web services.Automate and orchestrate cloud platforms using modern cloud technologies.Collaborate with IT teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.Monitor cloud environments to ensure performance, availability, and security.Coordinate with vendors and third‑party providers.Communicate project progress and technical recommendations to senior stakeholders. Requirements Experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.Relevant cloud certifications or equivalent professional training.Experience with AD DS, AD FS, PKI, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, Hyper‑V, VMware.Hands‑on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.Experience with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Docker, Rackspace.Knowledge of SOA, web services, APIs, REST, RPC.Strong understanding of networking concepts and internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP).Experience supporting cloud deployment, automation, and maintenance.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Desirable Skills Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security, OpenStack Administrator.Experience developing software with Java, Python, or similar languages.Experience with Windows PowerShell.Background in open‑source technologies and systems engineering.Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies.Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tools.
