Job Description You will join a high-growth fintech startup to build the core financial infrastructure for an autonomous savings agent. Working directly with an experienced CTO, you will develop the money-movement engine, ledger, and APIs using Java and Spring on AWS, ensuring your code reaches customers and creates immediate impact. What You Will Do Build and test backend services in Java/Spring on AWS to power the core savings agent technology.Architect and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka and event sourcing as you develop the money-movement engine.Write clean, well-tested code for APIs and ledgers, taking direct feedback through code reviews from the founding technical team. The ideal candidate Solid Java fundamentals acquired through a CS degree or rigorous self-taught experience, with a focus on clean, correct code.Proven track record of building things independently, demonstrated through side projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.UK-based professional with the right to work in the UK and a strong desire to learn the nuances of payments and fintech.
