Software Engineer

We're partnering with a leading global commodities trading firm to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI and the business, working directly with stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges through production-grade AI solutions. You'll take ownership from discovery through to deployment, building AI-powered applications, integrations and workflows that deliver measurable business value. Responsibilities Work directly with business users to understand requirements and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.Build production-grade applications using Python and modern cloud technologies.Develop agentic AI workflows using LLMs, LangGraph, RAG and vector databases.Design APIs, integrations and data pipelines with enterprise platforms.Deploy, support and continuously improve applications in production. Requirements Strong commercial Python experience.AWS and cloud-native engineering.Experience with LLMs, LangGraph, LangChain, RAG or similar AI frameworks.API development, SQL and distributed systems.Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.Experience within commodities, financial services or another large enterprise environment is highly desirable.
