Back-End Developer

Position Overview We’re looking for a Backend Developer who thrives on creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing web experiences. You’ll work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to build scalable APIs, maintain reliable services, and improve the core functionality of our platform. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservicesIntegrate third-party APIs, especially with financial and payment systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new featuresOptimize backend processes for performance, scalability, and reliabilityWrite clean, maintainable code with proper documentation and testingMonitor, debug, and resolve issues in production environmentsEnsure backend systems follow security best practices and compliance requirements Job Qualifications 2+ years of experience in frontend developmentStrong knowledge of Node.js, Python, Java, or similar backend languagesFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and ORM frameworksExperience with cloud platformsUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and containerizationKnowledge of security principles related to authentication, authorization, and data protectionExcellent problem-solving skills and a team-first attitude Nice-to-Haves Experience working with payment gateways or financial APIsFamiliarity with Kubernetes or serverless architectureUnderstanding of internationalization/localization in applicationsBilingual ability in Mandarin or Cantonese (not required, but helpful for client context) What We Offer Competitive salaryHealth and dental benefitsOpportunity to work on innovative fintech solutionsA supportive and inclusive team cultureCareer growth opportunities in a fast-scaling companyOn-site parking Join Us At AlphaPay, we’re building the future of global commerce.
