DevOps Engineer

Position Overview: We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, networking, secrets, and observability — including exposure to GPU/LLM workloads. This is a hands-on role focused on infrastructure ownership, platform reliability, and continuous improvement. What you’ll do: • Own AWS infrastructure using Terraform (VPC, EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, ECR, IAM, VPN, PrivateLink) • Operate Kubernetes (EKS): workloads, Helm, node groups (including GPU), RBAC, ingress • Build and improve CI/CD using GitHub Actions with OIDC → AWS, Docker Buildx, automated deployments • Manage networking and edge layer (ALB, NLB, API Gateway / Kong, TLS, DNS, private connectivity) • Handle secrets and access using Vault, KMS, IRSA, and least-privilege IAM • Support GPU/LLM workloads (vLLM, model deployment, inference infra, scaling) • Own observability (OpenTelemetry, logging, alerting, incident handling) • Partner with product teams for onboarding and platform usage • Follow safe operations practices and production discipline Must-have: • ~4 years DevOps / Platform / SRE experience • Strong AWS experience (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, ECR, S3, RDS) • Kubernetes (Deployments, Services, Ingress, RBAC, troubleshooting) • Terraform (modules, environments, state management) • CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Docker build/push, secure auth) • Linux, Bash, AWS CLI, kubectl • Networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, load balancing, private/public access) • Secrets management (Vault / AWS Secrets Manager) • Clear written communication Tech stack: • AWS (primary), Azure (optional) • Terraform • Docker, ECR, EKS, Helm • GitHub Actions (OIDC → IAM) • ALB, NLB, API Gateway / Kong, VPC, PrivateLink • Vault, KMS, IRSA • RDS PostgreSQL, ElastiCache / Valkey, S3 • OpenTelemetry, OpenObserve • GPU EKS node groups, vLLM Who thrives here: • Ownership mindset across infrastructure • Strong debugging and production awareness • Comfortable working across teams • Interested in cloud + Kubernetes + AI infra Note: Avey is an equal opportunity employer.
