Fullstack Engineer (Backend-Focused) — Mid to Senior Level Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid / Flexible options available) Position Type: Permanent, Full-time Roles Available: Multiple positions available About The Role We are hiring for multiple Fullstack Engineers (Backend-Focused) across Mid to Senior levels to join a major Australian banking client in Sydney. You will join a high-performing Technology team within the Cash & Transactional Banking space, working closely with business partners to design, build, and deliver large-scale digital transformation initiatives. This is a fast-paced, agile environment where you’ll tackle complex architectural problems and directly shape core financial platforms. What You’ll Do Drive Core Engineering: Design and build resilient, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.Deliver End-to-End Features: Leverage your fullstack toolkit, pairing solid backend logic with React frontend components.Modernize Architecture: Implement, secure, and maintain high-throughput RESTful APIs using OAuth and JWT standards.Automate & Ship: Collaborate within an Agile framework, leveraging continuous integration and deployment pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo).Solve Complex Problems: Apply strong analytical, architectural, and design capabilities to solve technical bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
