Full Stack Engineer

The Opportunity We're looking for a full-stack engineer to join the team building Propel Health AI's core product. You'll work across the entire stack, from React frontend to Python backends, cloud infrastructure, and data ingestion pipelines, and be expected to build whatever the product needs, rather than staying in a single lane. You will be involved across the full development lifecycle, from technical design and documentation through to development, testing, and deployment, building robust, observable, and scalable applications on cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid role based in Brisbane, working core AEST business hours. You will collaborate closely with our product manager, project manager, business analysts, and other engineers to build intuitive and impactful features in our platform. What You’ll Do Design, build, and ship features across the full stack, including a React frontend, multiple Python backends, and infrastructure-as-codeBuild and maintain data ingestion pipelines using GCP Workflows, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery to handle complex real-world healthcare datasetsManage and improve CI/CD pipelines to keep our deployment process fast and reliableCollaborate closely with our product manager to scope and deliver featuresProduce and maintain accurate, detailed technical documentation and communicate it effectively across the team What We’re Looking For Required: 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack applicationsComfortable working across the entire stack without specialising in a single areaStrong technical communication skillsDesired: Experience with some or all of our tech stack (Next.js, FastAPI)Experience with GCP or AWS, GCP preferredComfortable with Git and conducting meaningful and productive pull requests and code reviewsExperience working in agile environmentsExperience working in a startup or scale-up environmentExposure to healthcare data, FHIR, or regulated data environmentsBased in Southeast QLD Tech Stack Frontend: Next.js, Tailwind CSSBackend: FastAPI, SQLAlchemyInfrastructure: Terraform, TerragruntCloud: GCP (Cloud Run, Spanner, CloudSQL, Workflows, Cloud Functions, BigQuery) Benefits Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP), so you share directly in the long-term success and growth of the companyHybrid working model, with a minimum of two days per week in our Brisbane officeMeaningful ownership and impact in a well-funded startup entering its scale-up phase, with the opportunity to help shape our core platform from the ground upClear opportunities for professional growth and progression in a fast-moving startup, with the chance to deepen ownership as the business scales About Propel Health AI Propel Health AI is an end-to-end healthcare data and AI platform.
