They are moving from writing most of the code to designing solutions, reviewing outcomes, and owning decisions. Pairing with coding agents inside the IDE to scaffold code and write tests, allowing to focus on complex problem-solving and architecture.Are still the experts, but with AI superpowers. Their judgment, creativity, and accountability matter more than ever. From our Backenders @iToDEV we require: To effectively audit and orchestrate AI, you need deep fundamental expertise. Experience: 4+ years in the backend game. You’ve leveled up by handling responsibility like a champ.PHP Mastery: Deep knowledge of PHP 8+ (4+ years).Frameworks: You know Symfony 6+ inside and out (3+ years experience preferred).AI Fluency: Experience with Claude Code, Codex, or other coding agents.Security: strong understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10; ability to identify and remediate common web vulnerabilities.Testing: You don't just write code; you prove it works. 3+ years in PHPUnit/functional testing is a must.Databases: Strong MySQL skills (3+ years). You know your way around data structures.Core Skills: GIT, OOP, and API design are your daily bread and butter.Collaboration: our backenders should be team players. So let’s clarify, that team starts from 3 persons and you are one of them.Growth: Help your colleagues to grow, share your tricks of the trade, and can steer a small project or feature from start to finish without breaking a sweat.Ownership: Ability to independently drive features and take responsibility for outcomesCommunication: Fluent English is non-negotiable.
