Job Description Our client is seeking an Integration Software Engineer to join their team in London. Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Qualifications & Skills Experience in developing software using C/C++. An interest in developing system-level software for iOS, Android, or desktop operating systems used by third-party applications. A desire to expand your knowledge of video codecs and video streaming technology. Hold a degree in Computer Science or similar discipline. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the integration of LCEVC (MPEG-5 Part 2) into various operating systems, including Android, Chromium, WebRTC, and JavaScript-based web decoders. Work on projects such as adding support for HDR content playback on mobile platforms and enabling LCEVC playback on web browsers. Collaborate with decoder and encoder teams to maintain and improve the core C++ codec integration layers. Integrate compression solutions, like VC6 and Point Cloud Compression, into different video editing and creation applications. Engage with the open-source community to contribute changes upstream to video player Open Source projects and assist in integrating LCEVC. Resolve defects within the codec integration layer and across different integrations. Participate in sprint planning and refinement sessions to discuss new features and issues to address in upcoming sprints. Attend daily stand-up meetings to report status, issues, and successes.
