Job Description
As Platform Engineer, you will help build, run and improve the technical platforms that enable TOMRA’s software development, CI/CD, product security and machine learning activities.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, automating manual work, improving reliability and creating platforms that help development teams move faster and more securely.
Support the implementation and operation of platform infrastructure for software development and CI/CDHands-on setup and maintenance of on-premises R&D platform infrastructure like build servers, AI training and inference hardwareHelp maintain Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines and shared engineering servicesContribute to infrastructure-as-code, GitOps workflows and platform automationSupport developer tooling and CI/CD services such as GitLab, Artifactory and related integrationsAssist in improving platform security, access control, system hardening and vulnerability handlingAutomate repetitive operational tasks and improve the efficiency of engineering workflowsMonitor platform services, investigate incidents and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Qualifications
Basic to solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers and modern platform infrastructureExperience with automation, scripting or infrastructure as codeFamiliarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflowsInterest in platform security, secure software delivery and reliable operationsExperience with Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar scripting languagesGood English skills spoken and writtenAt least basic knowledge of GermanExperience with GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Ceph or Azure is an advantageExperience in mixed Linux and Windows environments is an advantageRequires relevant education or vocational training in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
