The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital solutions in the Commerce area at Heineken. These IT solutions have become a vital component in supporting the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported and the IT in this area continues to grow, the new Commerce DevOps Hub is being established. The newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with maintaining, but most importantly developing (functionally and technologically) IT solutions supporting the Commerce area at Heineken. Commerce DevOps Hub is located in Kraków and will include highly qualified IT professionals with direct contribution to both the technological development of the Heineken Commerce and the Hub itself. Heineken is transitioning from a supplier owned technology landscape to bringing the ownership in house. This is an opportunity to build the team and transition responsibility to internal Heineken resources. As the Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled software developers within the Order Tribe. You will collaborate closely with Product Owner(s), Product Architect(s), and other DevOps teams to ensure the development of scalable, high-performance, and secure IT solutions aligned with the company's business and technology strategy. You will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, setting technical direction, and ensuring adherence to best practices, methodologies, and coding standards. Your role will also include mentoring and coaching developers to ensure continuous professional growth and technical proficiency. Your Responsibilities Would Include Technical Leadership & Development: leading the development team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and ensuring best practices are followedarchitecting, designing and developing high-performance, modular, and scalable applications using ASP.NET 8 within the .NET 8 frameworkensuring API-first development principles are followed while designing web applications and servicesdeveloping and maintaining background jobs using Hangfireimplementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using ASP.NET Core Identity and OpenIddict .NET 8developing real-time communication features using SignalR in ASP.NET 8 Database & ORM Modeling designing and managing SQL Server databases ensuring optimal performance and scalabilitydeveloping ORM models using Entity Framework Core 8 for efficient data handlingoptimizing database queries and fine-tune performance for large-scale applications Cloud & Azure Services designing and implementing cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure servicesutilizing Azure App Service, Storage Account, Azure SQL Server, Azure Application Gateway, Azure CDN, Event Grid, Azure Service Bus Queue, Redis Cache, and Azure Search Servicemonitoring and optimizing application performance using Azure Application Insightsdeveloping and integrating workflows using Azure Logic Apps UI Development & Frontend Technologies developing and maintaining Single Page Applications (SPA) using Angular JS 1.4, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptutilizing Angular 16+, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for SPA development with Progressive Web App (PWA) supportensuring responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly UI/UX designs Performance Engineering identifying performance bottlenecks and implement optimization techniquesconducting code profiling, memory management, and fine-tune applications to enhance performance DevOps & Tools Management working with Azure DevOps tools including repositories, pipelines, and artifact managementutilizing static code analysis tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality and securitycollaborating with integration middleware tools such as APIC and Dell Boomi Best Practices & Compliance enforcing coding standards, architectural principles, and development methodologiesensuring secure coding practices and compliance with industry standardsparticipating in code reviews, technical discussions, and process improvements. You Are a Good Candidate If You Have 8+ years in software development experience, with expertise in backend, cloud, and frontend technologies2+ years in Team Lead capacity with proven leadership, mentoring and decision-making skills.5+ years of experience and proficiency in ASP.NET 8, C#, .NET 8, authentication, background job processing (Hangfire), and database management (SQL Server, Entity Framework Core 8)3+ years in Microsoft Azure, working with PaaS services, caching (Redis), messaging (Service Bus Queue), and monitoring (Application Insights). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and static code analysis (SonarQube)2+ years in Frontend Development: e.g. SPA development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, with a focus on responsive UI/UX and PWA supportstrong understanding of performance optimization, secure coding standards, code reviews, and system integrationsproactive mindset with experience in technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and improving team efficiency.
