DevOps Engineer – GitLab CI/CD & AWS Infrastructure Location: Princeton, NJ Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (initial contract is until the end of the year) Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour (W2) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to own, maintain, and continuously improve our software delivery platform centered around GitLab CI/CD hosted on our website. The role includes AWS infrastructure automation, Terraform-based IaC, and management of multiple deployment environments. Key Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines on our website.Design scalable, reusable, and secure CI/CD pipeline templates.Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform on AWS.Manage development, test, staging, and production environments.Automate build, test, release, and deployment processes.Monitor and optimize pipeline reliability, performance, and security.Apply DevOps best practices to improve developer productivity and deployment quality.Collaborate with software architects, developers, and QA teams. Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD.Experience administering and supporting our website’s repositories and pipelines.Strong Terraform and AWS expertise.Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.Experience managing multiple deployment environments.Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, automation, monitoring, and release management.Python or Bash scripting experience.Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SW360 software component governance.Knowledge of Python package management and Poetry.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.Familiarity with software artifact and dependency management. Success Criteria: Serve as primary owner of the GitLab CI/CD ecosystem.Improve deployment reliability, security, and efficiency.Establish robust Terraform-based AWS infrastructure practices.Enable faster and more predictable software delivery.
