Role Description As an Infrastructure Engineer at Showtime Consulting, you will design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure in complex commercial and government environments.
You will work on-site in Canberra in a full-time capacity, collaborating with architecture and DevSecOps teams to build and support Azure, Google, AWS, and OpenShift platforms, including protected and secret cloud environments.
Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and hardening networks, managing virtualized and containerized workloads, automating infrastructure delivery, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain high availability and compliance with stringent security standards.
You will contribute to cross-domain solutions, support satellite and space management systems, and participate in continuous improvement of infrastructure patterns and security controls.
The role also involves documenting designs, following secure engineering practices, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet mission and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in cloud infrastructure engineering, including Azure, VMWare, Google, AWS, and OpenStack.Candidates should possess skills in DevOps/DevSecOps practices, such as infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform), CI/CD (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps), and configuration management.Candidates should possess skills in network and security engineering, including secure network design, firewalls, VPNs, zero trust principles, and hardening protected and secret cloud environments.Candidates should possess skills in systems engineering and operations, including Linux/Windows administration, virtualization, monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning.Candidates should possess skills in documentation and collaboration, including clear technical writing, diagramming, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience are beneficial.
