Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Cloud Platform Engineers to join the Cloud Infrastructure team within Digital Health at Northern Health.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The Cloud Platform Engineer supports the implementation, automation and ongoing operation of Northern Health's cloud, AI and modern data platform environments.
Reporting to the Manager, Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure, the role works closely with data analytics, data science, software development and ICT teams to deliver secure, reliable and scalable cloud platform services.
The role focuses on implementing and maintaining Azure Landing Zone components, Infrastructure as Code, cloud networking, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry and CI/CD pipelines in line with established architecture, engineering standards and security requirements.
Working under the guidance of the Manager, the Cloud Platform Engineer contributes to the continual improvement of cloud platforms that enable data, AI and digital health solutions.
Operating within a highly regulated healthcare environment, the role ensures cloud platforms are secure, resilient and compliant with applicable privacy, cybersecurity and health information requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, software engineering, data platforms, or related discipline.Relevant cloud certifications are desirable, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, security, DevOps or equivalent platform engineering certifications.
