Senior Software Engineer - Front of House (Frontend)

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Front of House web team, you’ll build and improve the software that restaurant staff use to run service in real time. The team’s work spans critical operational workflows across reservations and related Front of House experiences, including areas such as seating, timeline, reservation editing, waitlist workflows, and in-house reservation management. You’ll work on a modern frontend stack centered on JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and a strong automated testing toolkit including React Testing Library, Jest, and Cypress. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys complex product domains, values clean and maintainable code, and can help drive projects from technical planning through production rollout. Requirements You are humble and enjoy working with developers, designers and product owners of all career levelsYou have 5 or more years of full-time professional experience as a software developer in a team environment, including extensive experience with ReactYou have strong communication skills, especially the ability to represent the technical trade-offs between different potential solutions You can drive projects from technical planning all the way to productionYou write code that is readable and maintainable. You create abstractions and find opportunities for code reuse.You carefully test your work for bugs while ensuring consistency with requirements and designs. You also build automated tests and understand how to use them properly.You have experience implementing designs and collaborating with designers using tools like FigmaYou are comfortable providing feedback to others via a code review process, and receiving feedback others have provided to you via this processYou adopt AI technologies to enhance your workflow, while also taking ownership of the results produced by these technologies and carefully checking them for accuracy.
