Ontario's energy sector is investing heavily in building out its data and digital capability — and the need for engineers and developers who can build, maintain, and scale that infrastructure is growing. Raise is building a pipeline of Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Software Developers for contract opportunities with a leading enterprise organization in Ontario's energy sector currently running an active data and digital modernization program. About The Opportunity The organization is building and expanding a data platform based on Microsoft Azure and Databricks — spanning data lake architecture, ELT pipeline development, semantic modeling, business intelligence, AI application development, and enterprise system integration. The program requires professionals at multiple levels, from data engineers building pipelines to architects designing the overall data model to software developers building applications that consume the platform. None of these roles require a nuclear background — they require technical depth and the ability to work within a complex, governed enterprise environment. What You Could Be Working On Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related toolsDeveloping and optimizing data models for reporting, analytics, and downstream system useArchitecting data solutions across data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse environmentsBuilding AI and machine learning applications using large language models and Azure AI servicesDeveloping full-stack enterprise applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native architectureImplementing data governance, lineage tracking, and quality controls across the data platformIntegrating enterprise systems using REST APIs, Azure Integration Services, and event-driven architecturesWorking within agile SCRUM delivery frameworks What We're Looking For 3 to 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or software development depending on the roleProficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark for data engineering rolesHands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and related Microsoft stack toolsExperience with AI/ML development, LLMs, or enterprise application development for software developer rolesStrong understanding of data governance, quality, and security principlesExperience working in agile delivery environments Why Apply Now The data and digital program is active and expanding.
