Engineering Manager, Meteorological Services (NEA)

[What you will be working on] You will lead engineering teams responsible for building and scaling weather information dissemination platforms that deliver forecasts, warnings, and meteorological data to diverse user communities across Singapore and the region. Your responsibilities will include: Defining technical strategies for multi-channel weather information delivery including web platforms, mobile APIs, and direct data feeds that serve both public and professional users.Partnering with government agencies, media organisations, and regional meteorological centres to develop scalable API solutions and data exchange protocols compliant with WMO standards.Building long-term technical roadmaps for public weather services, emergency alert systems, and international meteorological data exchange platforms.Leading engineering teams developing high-traffic web applications, mobile-responsive platforms, and real-time alert distribution systems.Collaborating with UX designers and meteorological communicators to ensure weather information is accessible and actionable for diverse user groups from thegeneral public to emergency responders.Establishing engineering practices that ensure reliable delivery of time-sensitive weather warnings and maintain service availability during extreme weather events.Driving technical initiatives that enhance Singapore's role as a regional meteorological hub and WMO data exchange centre.
