As a Senior Engineer on the Digital HQ Platform team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining our workplace collaboration platforms and productivity tools. You will join a team of engineers, ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, and security. Your responsibilities will include building integrations and automation for platforms like Slack and Atlassian, designing scalable APIs and services, reviewing pull requests, and simplifying complex workflows and processes. You will also explore new technologies, AI capabilities, and vendor APIs, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of workplace innovation. What You Offer Demonstrated success in running complex engineering initiatives and building great products in an Agile environmentStrong technical background with building reliable, fast, cloud-native applications using modern frameworks and languages (Java, Python, Node.js, or similar)Proven hands-on ability to build performant, resilient, and decoupled software systems with a focus on code maintainabilityImpact analysis and risk management on major design options, managing associated risks to ensure system designs meet functional requirementsExperience in leading systems design decisions, engaging in proof-of-concepts (POCs) and high-performance, critical code componentsContinuously improve development processes, tools, and techniquesIn-depth knowledge of containerisation, CI/CD, SOA, micro-services patterns, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and open-source libraries, tools, and frameworksExperience with employee enablement platforms (Slack, Atlassian, Microsoft Teams, or similar) and their APIs, or strong enthusiasm to learnExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player with all levels of the organisation.
