Position Overview

The Autodesk Developer Enablement team is seeking a highly motivated, seasoned Senior Software Developer to build and maintain a distributed compute system.
You will be part of a team that designs, builds, and operates services used by developers across Autodesk.
You will work side by side with other developers to support daily operations and our long-term roadmap.
A successful Senior Software Developer has a strong sense of ownership and can drive projects through to completion.
Responsibilities
Write code that is testable, readable, and maintainablePerform code reviewsEngage in technical and architectural discussions and decision makingProactively automate processes and improve code qualityTroubleshoot issues using distributed logging and tracingSupport internal development teams by answering questions and creating sample codeParticipate in on-call rotations to support production systemsMentor junior team members
Minimum Qualifications
4 years hands-on software development experience in a language like Go, Java, Python, or .NET4 years of experience leveraging public cloud infrastructure components like compute, caches, and databasesExperience implementing unit and integration testsUnderstanding of DevOps best practicesGood self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building apps on AWS using services such as ECS/EKS, Step Functions, LambdaExperience working with containersExperience with Agile software development practicesGood understanding of networking and security concepts

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package.
For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300.
Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
