More about the role & team Build AI-powered software on Confluence's flagship platformWe're looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise one of Confluence's most important products while bringing emerging AI capabilities into production. This is not a maintenance role. As part of our Software Engineering team, you'll work across a large-scale product ecosystem used by investment management firms around the world. You'll help develop modern services, improve platform capabilities and build AI-powered solutions using technologies such as LLMs and agent-based workflows. What you'll be doingDeveloping applications and services using .NET and C#Designing and building RESTful APIsContributing to scalable, modern software architectureCollaborating with engineers, product managers, QA and other stakeholdersExploring and implementing AI-powered development and product capabilitiesImproving development practices, tooling and engineering qualityContributing to modern DevOps and CI/CD approaches What skills and experience do I need to succeed? EssentialProfessional experience developing software with .NET and C#Experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented applicationsUnderstanding of software design patterns and scalable architectureExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsWorking knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactFamiliarity with DevOps and CI/CD practicesStrong communication and collaboration skillsCuriosity about AI and an interest in applying it to software engineering challengesApproximately 2+ years of professional software engineering experienceDegree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceNice to haveAzure or other cloud platform experienceExperience building CI/CD pipelinesPython for automation or AI-related workflowsExperience working with LLMs, prompt engineering or agentic systemsContainerisation technologiesExperience building developer productivity tools What do we offer?
