Mobile Application Developer

Agilus client is a world renowned financial services company and is adding to their team. We're looking for multiple Mobile-First Full Stack Developer to help build and enhance our clients digital investment experience used by thousands of Canadians. While this role includes full-stack responsibilities across frontend, backend, and cloud technologies, the primary focus is on delivering exceptional mobile applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native architectures. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build intuitive mobile experiences, scalable APIs, and secure cloud-based services that deliver real value to investors. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native for iOS and AndroidBuild and enhance native mobile capabilities using Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android) where requiredCreate scalable and responsive user experiences that deliver a seamless cross-platform mobile experienceDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and modern application architecturesCollaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver new mobile features and product enhancementsBuild cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and modern DevSecOps practicesParticipate in architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions across mobile, web, and API layersWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliabilityTroubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application stability and user experienceWhat You'll Bring Mobile Development (Primary Focus) 3+ years of experience building mobile applications using React NativeExperience developing and deploying applications to both iOS and AndroidStrong understanding of:React Native architectureReact HooksState management (Redux, Context API, etc.)Mobile navigation frameworksPerformance optimizationMobile security best practicesExperience integrating mobile applications with APIs and cloud servicesFamiliarity with native mobile development using:Swift / SwiftUIKotlin / Android SDKExperience publishing and supporting applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreBackend Development Experience developing backend services using JavaKnowledge of Spring Framework and modern API development principlesExperience designing and consuming:RESTful APIsJSON servicesSOAP servicesMessage queue integrationsUnderstanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimizationFrontend Development Experience with React.js or other modern JavaScript frameworksStrong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience building responsive web applications and reusable UI componentsCloud & DevOps Experience developing and deploying applications on AWSFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processesExperience working within Agile and DevSecOps environmentsExposure to monitoring, logging, and cloud-native application practices Salary Range: $99,000 – $120,000 + Bonus + RRSP + Benefits This position is required to be onsite 1x per week in downtown Toronto. This role is ideal for a developer whose passion is mobile engineering, but who also enjoys contributing across the full technology stack to deliver world-class digital products.
