Senior Full Stack Developer (Team Lead)

You will set technical direction, raise the bar on how we build, and make sure the knowledge behind our critical systems lives in the team and in our documentation rather than in any one person's head. The engineering culture that carries this platform forward is yours to build. You get to define how development works at QuoteToMe. The platform is an enterprise-grade suite today: RFQs, quote comparison, requisitions and approvals, purchase orders, expenses, invoices, and ERP sync. Ahead of us is product-led growth into the SMB market, deeper intelligence, and fintech enablement through financing and direct payment of transactions. THE TEAM You will work with a remote product team spanning product management, design, customer success, and engineering, reporting directly to the CEO. Together you will balance new features, customer feedback, and bug fixes across QuoteToMe's web and mobile apps. We keep meetings to a minimum and the process light, with a Kanban approach. How software gets built is changing quickly, and as lead developer you will have real say in how ours evolves. Our next big initiative is self-serve. Having proven the platform with some of North America's largest enterprise contractors, we are opening it to the SMB market through product-led growth. Today someone from our team walks every new customer through setup. Soon any contractor will sign up and get running on their own. WHAT YOU'LL DO Ship improvements and new functionality to the web and mobile apps every week. The core of the product is purchasing, managing, and paying for construction materials in less time.Deepen our integrations with Intuit QuickBooks, Procore, and Viewpoint Vista, and build new ones. We pull supplier and project data from these tools and push material orders and invoices back.Keep improving our AI-powered document scanning, which digitizes and normalizes supplier quotes, invoices, and expense receipts at volume.Build the payments path: processing, reconciliation, and the fintech work that lets contractors finance and pay for transactions directly in QuoteToMe.Review customer feedback with your product manager and our lead customer success manager, decide together how we address it, then triage and fix what customer-facing teams report.Own deploys and AWS devops end to end: pipelines, environments, monitoring, cost, and QA on what ships. WHAT YOU'LL LEAD Design and architecture decisions for code structure, infrastructure, and tooling.Mentorship through code review, pairing, and the standards you set. Levelling up the developers on the team is a core expectation of this role, not a nice to have.Documentation and knowledge distribution, so no critical system ever depends on a single person.How we build: our Kanban process, the release rhythm, and the AI tooling we adopt next. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 6+ years of full-cycle development, including meaningful time as a senior or lead developer.Strong Python and Django: DRF, the ORM, and RQ, since most of the heavier work runs as background jobs rather than in the request cycle.Document data extraction with LLMs. No two supplier PDFs are formatted alike, so the work is prompting, reliable structured output, and evaluation you can trust, while keeping cost and latency sane at volume.AWS or Heroku, GitHub Actions, and Sentry, or close equivalents. We care that you have owned deploys and know how you would track down a production bug.A high bar for craft. You care how the front end feels, not just whether it works, and you treat design as a collaborator rather than a spec to implement.Experience leading developers through code review, pairing, and mentorship, and the appetite to do more of it.PostgreSQL, plus VueJS or React, enough to take a feature from schema to screen on your own. Our web app is VueJS, with a native mobile app alongside it.Third-party API integrations: QuickBooks, Procore, and similar construction and accounting platforms, including partner certification and reconciling data that lives in systems we do not control.Communication that lands with different audiences. You will work daily with a senior product designer and customer-facing teammates, so you will contribute to solutions and explain your thinking to people with varying technical depth.Fintech, construction or B2B SaaS background preferred. Claude Code and Claude Design are part of daily development here, the Anthropic API runs inside the product, and OCR is live in production. As lead developer you decide what we adopt next and how the team compounds on it. YOUR FIRST SIX MONTHS Weeks 1-2: Into the stack and the process, owning how we develop, with a roadmap review together. Month 1: Shipping weekly and running code review against the standards you set. Month 3: Owning an integration end to end, documented for anyone to run. Month 6: Leading major features from spec through release, with a stronger team than you found.
