Senior DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an international engineering team responsible for designing, scaling, and operating a modern cloud platform that supports large-scale, business-critical applications. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the platform architecture, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across multiple environments. 📍 Location: Lagoas Park (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite) 🗣️ Language: Professional English (written and spoken) What you'll be doing: Design, implement, deploy, and maintain the core infrastructure powering the engineering platform.Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define and evolve platform technologies, tools, and processes.Develop scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code.Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to accelerate software delivery.Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability using modern observability tools.Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve platform resilience.Identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.Support engineering teams with onboarding, platform best practices, and technical guidance.Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation (third-line production support) to ensure platform availability. What we're looking for: Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.Solid experience working with large-scale, distributed, event-driven systems.Strong Linux administration and operating system hardening experience.Experience managing databases such as PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and virtualisation technologies including VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and Ansible.Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.Experience with observability and monitoring solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, and OpenTracing.Scripting and automation experience using Go, Python, or Bash.Good understanding of networking concepts and IP networking.Ability to collaborate with Software Architects on platform and infrastructure design decisions, including API Management and Service Mesh concepts.Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude.Comfortable working autonomously within cross-functional Agile teams.Professional proficiency in English. Nice to have: Previous experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions.Background in infrastructure and networking.Experience supporting highly available production environments.Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and platform engineering best practices.
