Role Overview: You’ll design, develop, and support Python-based services and data pipelines that power critical banking workflows. You’ll work closely with front-office, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, low-latency solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines using Python.Develop and optimize REST APIs and advanced SQL queries for high-volume financial data.Work with AWS Snowflake, Postgres RDS, and related data stores to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.Leverage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, Secrets Manager, etc.) to deploy and manage cloud-native solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quant, trading, risk, product) to translate business needs into technical solutions.Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems under tight deadlines.Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices for software delivery. Required Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and data engineering.Hands-on experience with AWS Snowflake and Postgres RDS.Solid expertise in REST API development and advanced SQL.Familiarity with AWS services: EC2, Lambda, Secrets Manager (and ideally S3, IAM, CloudWatch).Experience working in Financial Services, preferably within Investment Banking.Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. Nice-to-Have Skills: Exposure to React or FastAPI for building modern web services or internal tools.Experience in Treasury, Post-Trade, or Front-Office technology.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.Understanding of financial instruments, trading workflows, or risk systems.
