Senior DevOps Engineer - Network/Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Purpose Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches. Takes account and defines automated configuration management, release management, build, test and deployment activities. Provides prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Design and manage cloud and hybrid network architectures (VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, peering)Automate network provisioning and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)Implement and maintain load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing solutionsEnsure secure network design, including firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust models, and segmentationOptimize network performance, latency, and throughput for distributed systemsIntegrate networking into CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and environment setupMonitor network health and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across environments using observability toolsDrive adoption of container networking (e.g., Kubernetes CNI, service meshes)Collaborate with security, platform, and development teams to align networking with application needsResearch and implement innovative technologies to enhance infrastructure automation and optimize development processesSupport project teams with consulting, proof-of-concept solutions, and continuous infrastructure optimization YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU: Meet the general requirementsMaster´s degree in Information technologiesStrong troubleshooting capability & skills in complex distributed automation environmentsAbility to think in end-to-end service models, not just device-level configsAbility to translate business/service requirements into technical workflowsAttention to detailAbility to mentor and coach team membersOwnership mindset: takes issues end-to-end until resolutionStrong cross-team collaboration skills (Dev, Ops, ServiceNow, vendors)Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to different audiencesProactive in identifying improvements and optimization opportunitiesEnglish – Upper intermediate (B2)Have experience with NSO & PythonExperience with network automation frameworks (e.g. Cisco NSO, Ansible, Terraform, Python)Understanding of infrastructure as code / network-as-code principlesStrong experience developing and maintaining Cisco NSO service packagesDeep understanding of NSO architecture, service models (CFS/RFS), FASTMAP and service plan lifecycleSolid Python3 skills with strong OOP principles and experience in transactional systemsMaintain NSO Application and be the go-to resource for NSO topics and issuesAbility to work with APIs and data models (REST, JSON/YANG)Experience with automated testing frameworks (Robot Framework preferred)Understand Network ArchitectureSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (L2/L3, BGP, VPNs, IPsec, VRF, segmentation)Worked within a Network Operations or Engineering environmentExperience of Cisco ACI, IOX-XE, NXOSCI/CD & release governanceExperience and knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (build, test, release)Experience with release management in multi-service network automation platforms.Good Linux knowledge including scripting and containerized environment WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE US? We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits.
