Summary

Join a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting environment to design, build, integrate, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. You will develop generative AI applications, assistants, semantic search, automation, and RAG systems; connect models to enterprise platforms and data; implement evaluation, guardrails, observability, and responsible-AI controls; and support solutions throughout their lifecycle. The role requires at least two years of Python and hands-on AI engineering experience, with strong knowledge of LLM applications, retrieval systems, APIs, cloud deployment, containers, and collaborative software practices.

Highlights

Hands-on AI engineering role with measurable client and public-sector impact, international project exposure, multidisciplinary collaboration, reusable product development, continuous learning, and a clear technical career path.

Description

LBC is a strategic consultancy, digital transformation and talent development company, with experience in more than 1.200 projects in 18 countries, 12 sectors and 20 multilateral entities such as the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, European Union, African Development Bank, among others. Your role Build AI-enabled applications using generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, document intelligence and intelligent automation.Develop assistants, copilots, semantic search, recommendation, classification, document-analysis and workflow-support solutionsBuild RAG pipelines using enterprise documents and data, with traceable sources and appropriate access controlsIntegrate models with web applications, APIs, databases, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP, CRM and client systemsWrite clean, modular, tested and documented production code; participate in code reviews and collaborative engineering practices.Implement prompts, structured outputs, validation, guardrails, model routing and fallback mechanismsPrepare and transform structured and unstructured data for retrieval, evaluation and application developmentEvaluate accuracy, relevance, groundedness, hallucination, latency, cost, robustness and reliabilitySupport secure cloud, hybrid or client-managed deployment, including logging, tracing, monitoring and incident resolutionApply privacy-by-design, security-by-design and responsible-AI principles throughout developmentContribute to internal LBC solutions, reusable components, technical standards, accelerators and AI-enabled productsParticipate in client workshops, demonstrations, proposals, knowledge transfer and adoption support The AI Engineer will design, develop, integrate and deploy AI solutions for LBC’s clients and for LBC’s own transformation into an AI-powered organisation. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, architects, business analysts, consultants, designers and governance specialists. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can turn business requirements, models and data into reliable applications. You will contribute across the full lifecycle: discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
