Software Engineer - Analytics

Tangram Flex is seeking a Software Engineer - Analytics to serve as a primary technical resource for developing advanced analytic solutions that enhance digital engineering workflows, model interoperability, and tradecraft standards. This role combines hands-on software development integrating analytical tools with Reference Architectures modeled with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to deliver cloud-native, event-driven solutions that align with modern software development practices. The Software Engineer will work collaboratively across internal and external teams to identify, scope, prototype, document, develop, and deliver new features within our software platforms while supporting critical customer engagements and analytical workflows. JOB REPONSIBILITIES/ Design, develop, and test cloud-native software solutions using Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and other relevant languagesDevelop and integrate APIs, perform model checking, and create UI/UX components with focus on SysML v2 data harvesting, automation, and API definitionImplement MBSE methodologies that align with customer requirements and tradecraft standardsEstablish and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing practices (unit, component, integration, system, performance, and continuous testing)Integrate software solutions with customer-supplied APIs or web servicesConduct regular code reviews and participate in bi-weekly technical interchange meetings with customersPerform duties in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) approximately 2-5 days per weekWork as an active SCRUM team member utilizing Agile workflows and project management tools such as Confluence and JiraProvide technical support, product use guidance, and design/development support to internal and external resourcesUtilize software testing tools to perform robust testing and support system performance analysis DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE/ Required Skills: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical fieldExperience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development or engineering working collaboratively as part of a high-functioning teamSecurity Clearance: Current Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain U.S. Government Security (DoW) Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)Location: This position requires working in both standard office environments and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) at WPFABAbility to Travel occasionally 10%-15%Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (required)Experience with SysML v1 , Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) design and development practicesFamiliarity with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE toolsExperience with cloud-native software developmentProficiency with Git-based development workflows (GitLab/GitHub)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practicesPreferred Skills: Experience with SysML v2Experience with Node.js and/or TypeScriptFamiliarity with SCRUM/Agile methodologies and collaborative team workflowsExperience with project management tools (Confluence, Jira)Proficiency in multiple testing methodologies (unit, component, integration, system, performance, continuous testing)Experience integrating with customer-supplied APIs and web servicesUI/UX development experienceEvent-driven architecture design and implementationEW (Electronic Warfare), RF (Radio Frequency), and weapons systems familiarityExperience with API development and documentationKnowledge of analytical pipeline modernization techniquesPhysical Requirements: Ability to travel by air, car, or other transportation methodsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours/day)Ability to lift and carry lightweight items (e.g., laptops, demo equipment, marketing materials) up to 25 lbs.Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, using a mouse, writing, and handling equipment.Visual acuity to read detailed technical documents, view computer screens, and operate software systemsAuditory ability to participate in meetings, customer demos, and conference calls, including in potentially noisy environments (e.g., trade shows or military facilities)Mobility to move between office spaces, customer sites, conference venues, and manufacturing or lab environmentsFlexibility to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., corporate offices, government buildings, industrial or lab spaces) We are committed to staying rooted in our core value of Team First.
