Software Engineer

Expleo are working with a major Automotive Manufacturer in Dagenham, who are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. Your responsibilities will include leading the seamless operation of applications at our client’s Automotive manufacturing facility. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer: Act as the subject matter expert for several Plant Floor Systems applications and utilise that knowledge to provide production support, and drive improvement.Lead the escalation and resolution of critical incidents/issues, working and collaborating with in-plant customers, other in Plant IT and our global IT organisation and suppliers.Support infrastructure and application projects.Create and promote best-in-class IT processes, tools, methodologies and standards.Ensure appropriate use of IT processes, tools, methodologies and standards. Requirements for the Software Engineer: A degree or equivalent in an IT or related subject.Experience supporting software applications within a manufacturing environment.Systems administration, including planned upgrades and patches.Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours or on weekends if required.Ensure audit requirements are met.Experience of working within a manufacturing/plant. ** PLEASE NOTE ** To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work in the UK.
