Responsibilities Design and develop integration recipes connecting cloud applications, databases, and on-premise systems using Workato's iPaaS platformBuild and maintain data synchronization workflows ensuring accurate, real-time data flow between business systemsImplement Workato AI agents and conversational automation to enhance business processes and employee productivityCreate custom connectors and API integrations for proprietary or less common systemsDevelop reusable recipe functions and callable recipes to maintain scalability and code efficiencyOptimize recipe performance, handle error scenarios, and implement retry logic for mission-critical integrationsCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical automation solutionsDocument integration architectures, data mappings, and process flowsMonitor integration health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive alertingStay current with Workato platform updates and emerging AI automation capabilities Requirements Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT or any relevant specialisation.Proven 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Workato platform development.Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys, JWT)Proficiency in Workato recipe development including triggers, actions, conditional logic, and data transformationsExperience with Workato Workbot and conversational automation interfacesKnowledge of Workato AI agents, including configuration, training, and integration with business workflowsUnderstanding of data integration patterns: real-time sync, batch processing, event-driven architectureExperience integrating common SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Slack, or similarSolid grasp of data formats including JSON, XML, and CSVAbility to write and debug formula mode expressions in Workato' s Ruby-based syntaxWorkato certification (Professional Automation or AI Automation)Experience with Workato' s connector SDK for building custom adaptersFamiliarity with RPA tools and how they complement iPaaS solutionsBackground in software development with languages like Python, JavaScript, or RubyUnderstanding of AI/ML concepts and prompt engineering for agent-based automationExperience with API management and governance practicesKnowledge of enterprise architecture patterns and middleware concepts Technical Skills Workato recipe design and developmentWorkato AI agents and intelligent automationData mapping and transformation logicAPI integration and connector developmentError handling and exception managementVersion control and deployment practicesSQL and database conceptsCloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
