Junior Web Developer – Netbank UI & Core Libraries (Try-to-Hire): Location: Helsinki, Finland Work Model: Hybrid (50% Remote / 2–3 days on-site per week) Assignment Period: 24 Aug 2026 – 28 Feb 2027 (6-Month Initial Contract with Conversion Option) Allocation: 100% (Full-Time) Opportunity: Contract-to-Permanent Conversion (Direct employment after 6 months) About the Role: We are looking for a highly talented Junior Web Developer to join a specialized engineering team working on core Netbank platforms.In this role, you will focus on high-impact frontend architecture, building and maintaining the common UI components and core web libraries used across the wider web developer community. This role operates under a Contract-to-Permanent (Try & Hire) model, providing a direct pathway to full-time employment upon successful completion of the initial 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities: UI Component Development: Design and build reusable, high-performance UI components and foundational libraries for the enterprise netbank interface.Frontend Architecture: Work with modern web standards, maintaining clean, modular, and maintainable frontend code.Cross-Platform Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional development teams, UX designers, and mobile engineering groups using shared web technologies. Candidate Profile & Technical Skills: Core Web Stack: Strong foundational knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Web Components.Framework Proficiency: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React or Angular).Mindset: Highly driven, curious, and quick to learn, with a strong focus on code quality and technical problem-solving.Language: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken). Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus): Mobile Web Tech: Familiarity with hybrid or mobile web development (web technologies used within native app wrappers).Digital Accessibility: Basic knowledge or interest in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and building accessible UI components (training provided on the job).
