The Role at a Glance Role: Tech Lead (Backend) / Platform Engineering LeadSalary: €92,000 - €110,000 + Equity OptionsLocation: Remote (Ireland)Tech Stack: Node.js, TypeScript, GCP, Terraform Responsibilities As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and act as the technical authority for our backend team. Own the Platform: Architect, secure, and scale our GCP infrastructure to seamlessly handle 100% YoY user growth.Lead & Mentor: Manage a high-performing, lean team of 3–5 senior and mid-level backend engineers, fostering a culture of high velocity and uncompromising quality.Drive Platform Efficiency: Act as the primary steward for cost-optimisation and resource management as we scale globally.Integrate & Innovate: Design resilient data patterns and deep integrations with external partner APIs.Pioneer AI Workflows: Act as the internal champion for driving agentic AI workflows forward across the team.Collaborate closely with leadership: Partner with our executive team to align technical execution with business strategy.
