Senior Product Engineer
Up to £85,000 + strong benefits

We're working with an established software company to find a Senior Product Engineer who will help build and scale a platform used daily by a large customer base.
This is a Senior Product Engineer role for someone who wants genuine ownership and technical challenge, with work that ships and reaches real users.
You'll own features end to end, from back-end services through to the customer-facing product.
You'll work closely with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA and Product, and you'll set the technical bar for the people around you.
Responsibilities as a Senior Product Engineer:
Build, maintain and scale platform-level back-end services that support data and product capabilities across the businessShip new features across the core product suite, taking them from design through to deliveryOwn high-impact work directly, resolving critical bugs and system issues with strong problem-solving and deep system knowledgeDrive test coverage and reliability through advanced automated testing and Test-Driven DevelopmentKeep code quality high through thorough, constructive code reviews and well-architected, scalable designMentor mid-level and junior engineers through pairing, reviews and team learning sessions
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience building back-end services in PythonExperience with enterprise solutions and large-scale systemsStrong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modelling and performance optimisationProven track record designing and writing APIs in a service-oriented environment, delivering large technical projects with minimal supervisionSolid grounding in software engineering principles (SOLID, DRY), clean code, refactoring and ScrumA collaborative Senior Product Engineer who leads through mentorship and communicates clearly with technical and non-technical people alike
