About the Role
A Java Developer is required to support application development within a DevSecOps-focused environment.
The role involves designing, building, enhancing, and maintaining applications using modern Java technologies, microservices architecture, and CI/CD practices.
The position requires close collaboration with development and DevOps teams while ensuring code quality, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications using Java 1.8+ and related technologies following object-oriented design principlesDesign, build, and support microservices-based solutions, including REST APIs and integrations with messaging technologies such as JMS and Kafka.Work with Persistence API, Hibernate 4+, database technologies, and SQL queries to support application functionality and data management.Participate in DevOps-driven development processes, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Maven, and Bamboo.Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices and contribute to secure software development aligned with OWASP Top 10 principlesCollaborate on frontend-related tasks involving JSP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when required.
Required Experience and Skills
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.Strong expertise in Java 1.8+, object-oriented design and development, microservices, Persistence API, Hibernate 4+, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Maven, and Git.Experience working within DevOps teams utilizing CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Maven, and BambooGood knowledge of Spring Boot, Java EE, database technologies, JMS, message queues, REST API consumption and testing, and JSON/XML processing.Practical experience with SQL query development and database interaction.Understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10 principles.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kafka.Exposure to AI-based coding assistants.Experience working with Apache POI for Excel file processing.Familiarity with issue-tracking tools such as JIRAExperience with JDBC, MS SQL, and Oracle databases.
