About This Position Developer is responsible for designing, modifying and developing systems using advanced techniques including the ability to analyze current systems to resolve new and/or existing problems. Evaluates technical feasibility of proposed system solution, develops project proposals and develops/modifies systems to meet the business need. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in at least one software specialization. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead or direct the work of other developers/projects. Stays current on new and emerging technology. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. This role is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future. This role is fully remote. The salary range for this role is $120k - $125K. Responsibilities & Qualifications Performs Technical Duties: Codes, unit tests, and debugs programs ensuring optimal performance using advanced programming techniques Writes technical specifications and creates thorough unit test plans for each new functionality, application and/or conversion from one application system to the nextPerforms thorough unit testing for new functionality, applications, conversions, etc., through full regression validationUtilizes appropriate software tools for source code management, code creation, compilation and program executionDocuments new systems as well as changes to existing systems according to established standards; develop flow charts, logic charts, record formats, and coding structures using architecture approved toolsReviews business test plans and results to ensure effectiveness in meeting project requirementsDirects training of business personnel in new and modified systemsProvides on-call support for production and lower environmentsProvides training by working with and mentoring other developers and/or contractors Analysis And Investigative Responsibilities Performs background analysis through research, interviews / meetings with business areas to define needs, understand desired results and to resolve problemsMeets independently with business partners and management to determine systems solutions and evaluates technical feasibilityAnalyzes detailed system factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements and alternative methods of problem resolution to ensure optimal performanceAnalyzes and documents new systems as well as changes to existing systems according to established standards;
