We're looking for an Embedded DevOps & Operations Lead to establish and lead a new organization-wide engineering function supporting every embedded platform at Orqa. This is a unique opportunity to build a new engineering function and shape how embedded products are developed, tested, and delivered across the entire organization. Working closely with software, hardware, systems, cybersecurity, quality, and engineering teams, you'll define the infrastructure, automation, and engineering standards that enable developers to move from code to validated, production-ready releases faster, more securely, and at scale. What You'll Do Establish and lead Orqa's Embedded DevOps & Operations function, defining engineering standards, infrastructure, and ways of working across embedded platformsDesign and standardize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release processes for embedded firmware, RTOS, and embedded Linux platformsDevelop and scale Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) infrastructure to support automated testing and validationDrive infrastructure-as-code, developer self-service, and engineering productivity initiativesEstablish secure build, release, and software supply chain practices, integrating DevSecOps throughout the embedded development lifecyclePartner with software, hardware, systems, cybersecurity, quality, and platform teams to drive cross-platform collaboration, define shared engineering standards, and continuously improve development workflowsBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing Embedded DevOps & Operations team while promoting knowledge sharing and engineering best practicesContinuously improve the scalability, security, and efficiency of Orqa's embedded development and release processes What We Expect Extensive experience leading Embedded DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Build & Release initiatives within embedded or cyber-physical environmentsStrong background in embedded software development, DevOps, CI/CD, release engineering, and engineering automationHands-on experience with embedded toolchains, cross-compilation, and modern build frameworksExperience integrating CI/CD pipelines with physical hardware, HIL/SIL environments, laboratory automation, and embedded testing infrastructureExperience integrating security-focused testing into embedded development workflowsExperience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and mentoring technical teamsAbility to connect engineering tools, workflows, and product lifecycle systems into scalable engineering processesStrong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills NICE TO HAVE Experience with technologies such as Yocto, Buildroot, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, CMake, Bazel, Conan, or similar embedded platforms and build frameworksFamiliarity with secure software supply chain practices and frameworks such as NIST SP 800-218 (SSDF)Experience working on regulated or security-critical products, including compliance, audits, or formal security assurance WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE Our office is a drone testing playground, and every day starts with an idea no one has tried before.
