Senior Backend Developer – Spring Boot / Kafka / Kubernetes Location: Strasbourg, France (Hybrid) Contract: 12 Months Rolling Contract Languages: English Location & Eligibility (strict) Must be based in Strasbourg, or willing to relocate before startingRemote working is only possible from Strasbourg (no remote from other cities/countries)Open to EU nationals only Budget: €400 per day, all inclusive We are looking for a senior backend developer to join a strategic project building modern, event-driven microservices and distributed systems. Mandatory 10+ years of professional software development experienceUniversity degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical fieldDeep hands-on expertise with Spring Framework & Spring Boot, specifically in distributed systemsStrong knowledge of Kafka (or IBM Event Streams) and PostgreSQLPractical experience with Docker and KubernetesProficiency in CI/CD and version control: Git, GitHub, GitHub CI/CDUnderstanding of DevSecOps and software development best practicesProven ability to perform deep technical analysis and produce clear documentation for complex systemsExperience with large-scale web applications and the seniority to guide architectural decisionsIstio and SonarQube are expected; however, truly outstanding candidates with strong solid experience may be considered without them Bonus (nice-to-have, but highly valued) OpenShift Container PlatformHelmJFrog Artifactory
