About The Role
The Lead Engineer - Cloud at CreateFuture plays a critical role in guiding the success of cloud engineering initiatives, both for client projects and internal development.
This position involves working closely with clients to build and maintain strong relationships, providing expert advice, and ensuring the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.
The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise, capable of leading complex projects that range from traditional cloud migrations to cutting-edge AI enablement and platform engineering.
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for architecting reliable AI-native infrastructure, managing AI lifecycles, and enforcing cost governance across cloud estates.
They will serve as a technical leader, setting direction for the team of cloud engineers, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with senior leadership to define technical strategies.
This role also involves contributing to pre-sales activities, representing CreateFuture at industry events, and acting as an ambassador for the company's cloud capabilities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and data engineeringAdvanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as TerraformExpertise in Kubernetes administration and cloud networking (VPC, Service Mesh, Zero Trust security)Hands-on experience with AI platforms like AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio, LangChain, and custom AI agent developmentStrong software engineering principles, including CI/CD pipelines, testing, and vulnerability managementExperience deploying data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, and real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or AWS KinesisKnowledge of observability tools (OpenTelemetry) and automated cost management systems (Infracost, OpenCost)Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect โ Professional or Azure Architect AZ-305 are highly desirableExperience working in regulated industries such as financial services or iGaming is advantageousProven track record in client-facing consulting, stakeholder management, and delivering within strict SLAs and budgetsResponsibilities
Lead the technical direction and delivery of multiple client and internal cloud projects, acting as a technical lead or individual contributorArchitect and implement AI-native infrastructure, including dynamic data lakes, vector databases, and RAG architecturesBuild and deploy production-grade AI workflows and custom AI agents using advanced tools and scripting languagesDefine, promote, and enforce best practices in security, governance, and cost management across the organizationImplement automated security controls, real-time cost anomaly detection, and integrate cost estimation into SDLC processesSupport the creation and maintenance of reusable internal platforms, reference architectures, and proof of conceptsMentor and develop cloud engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learningIdentify new revenue opportunities through a growth mindset and collaborate with commercial teams on pre-sales activitiesRepresent CreateFuture at industry events, conferences, and through social media to promote cloud capabilitiesWork closely with talent acquisition to attract, interview, and onboard top cloud engineering talentBenefits
