A financial services organization is seeking an Intermediate Java Engineer to help develop and support enterprise payment processing platforms.
This role is ideal for a software engineer with strong Java backend experience who is interested in building secure, high-volume transaction systems within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend payment processing applications using Java and Spring Boot/Framework.Build reliable, secure, and compliant solutions supporting electronic payment transactions.Develop integrations with internal systems, APIs, banking networks, and third-party partners.Collaborate with Product, Operations, Compliance, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software.Participate in code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot/Framework development.Experience building and consuming REST APIs.Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.Understanding of security concepts including OAuth2/OIDC, authentication, and authorization.Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, and observability tools.Knowledge of payment systems, financial services, and messaging standards such as ISO 20022.
