Axos Business Center, Corp About This Job The Senior DevOps Engineer provides technical leadership in the design, development, and operation of scalable, secure, and reliable CI/CD pipelines and application platforms. This role drives automation excellence across the software development lifecycle, ensures high engineering quality, and enables teams to deliver software safely, efficiently, and at scale. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. Develop, maintain, and enhance complex automation scripts and tooling to meet evolving application and infrastructure requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues arising from the integration and collaborative use of DevOps tools and platforms. Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure/hosting teams to design, maintain, and evolve DevOps workflows, platforms, and environments. Ensure CI/CD pipelines adhere to deployment standards, release requirements, security controls, and monitoring guidelines. Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient application platforms with a strong developer-first mindset. Take ownership of decisions related to application deployment strategies, automation standards, and platform reliability. Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application runtime environments. Participate in follow-the-sun operations to ensure platform stability and availability across multiple regions. Collaborate effectively across shifts and provide clear handoffs to ensure operational continuity. Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning. Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive high levels of collaboration and coordination (approximately 50% of the role). Participate in follow‑the‑sun operations to ensure platform stability, availability, and operational continuity across multiple regions. Job Requirements Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience Requirements 5–7+ years of total professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering roles. Prior experience as a Software Developer, with a strong understanding of application architecture and development best practices. Programming experience in any programming language (C#, GoLang, Java)Deep, hands‑on experience with DevOps principles and automation across the full software delivery lifecycle. Proven expertise in designing, building, and supporting complex, production‑grade systems in cloud or hybrid environments. Strong track record of technical ownership, sound decision‑making, and accountability for outcomes. Experience working effectively in distributed or global teams, collaborating across time zones. Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, SCCM, LanDesk, Docker, Terraform, and Packer.
