Support Engineer – RVR

We’re now looking for a Support Engineer to join our Registries and Vital Records team and help us continue this important work.
The Role
As a Support Engineer, you will provide front‑line application support to our customers using Axiell’s vital records and civil registration solutions.
You’ll work closely with customers, Product Development, QA, and Delivery teams to troubleshoot issues, test fixes, and ensure a high‑quality support experience from implementation through day‑to‑day operations.
This role reports to the Customer Support Manager and is ideal for someone early in their career in support who enjoys problem‑solving and customer interaction in a technical environment.
What you’ll do
Monitor, manage, and resolve customer issues using Jira or Azure DevOpsCommunicate directly with customers to understand and troubleshoot technical problemsTest fixes and deployments to ensure smooth functionalityDocument cases clearly and manage support queuesCollaborate with Product Development and QA for issue escalation and resolutionContribute to improving support processes and toolsProvide clear, timely updates to customers and internal stakeholdersHybrid work setup
What we’re looking for
A degree in Computer Science or a related field1–2 years of experience in a technical support or similar roleStrong problem‑solving and debugging skillsExperience working with Linux / Unix environmentsKnowledge of one or more of the following: C++, Java, Perl, PythonFamiliarity with web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, XSL, and React‑based frameworksExperience with Jetty, IDEs (e.g.
VS Code), and version control (Git)Working knowledge of Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
