Description

Our client is a leading national law firm with a regarded Construction & Infrastructure practice. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join the team in Sydney or Canberra. Working closely with recognised partners in the construction and infrastructure sector, you will advise a diverse client base including contractors, developers, principals, government agencies and infrastructure providers on a broad range of contentious construction matters. Key Responsibilities Managing complex construction and infrastructure disputes from inception through to resolutionAdvising clients on contractual disputes, delay and disruption claims, defects claims and variations disputesActing in litigation before State and Federal CourtsRepresenting clients in domestic and international arbitrationsHandling Security of Payment claims, adjudications and related proceedingsDrafting pleadings, witness statements, submissions and other court and arbitration documentsProviding strategic risk management and dispute avoidance advice to clientsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsSupervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the teamContributing to business development initiatives and client engagement activities About You You will be a lawyer with 6+ years' PQE and strong experience across construction and infrastructure disputes. You will have excellent drafting, research and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage complex matters and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
